Continued

In the restaurant was a party of six girls who seemed to be celebrating. A separate party of three girls who seemed to be relaxed and having fun and we noticed that at the window seat were a couple who seemed to be in romantic mode.
This certainly is a restaurant to suit all types of clientele. I found the restaurant to have very comfortable seats, low lighting, a modern bar area and a very open, shiny kitchen where you can watch your food being cooked.
All in all this restaurant boasts a very warm atmosphere.

Our starters arrived promptly and I must say with great presentation. The chicken satay was marinated in a satay skewered and served with mixed leaves and served with a side order of peanut sauce. I had a forkful of all the above and then dipped it into the peanut sauce and the first word that came to mind was "delicious".
My food partner choose the crispy chicken served with a garlic sauce which was tasty and crispy. We also had garlic bread - this was cooked to perfection and unusually came with a choice of three dips.
But a great idea for your taste buds.
I had a visit to the loo and found it immaculate, clean with modem fittings. This is always a good sign of a well run restaurant.

My main order arrived, Peking Duck with a crispy outer on a bed of mash. My food partner had chicken fillet with cream cheese and smoked bacon covered in breadcrumbs with a generous portion of tobacco onions with a white wine sauce and unusually mixed through with mushrooms. Both these poultry dishes were well cooked and tender. The sauces unique and if you're going to visit this restaurant I would thoroughly recommend both these dishes.

Once again our waiter kept an eye on our table to top up our glasses with wine as we needed it.

Then came the sweet menu and I must say this restaurant knows how to spoil its clientele. There were quite a number of deserts to choose from and as we felt that we couldn't eat much more we decided to share a Bailey's cheesecake. And the only words that I can think to describe this cheesecake are "wow, wow, wow".

Overall comments: top class service, tasty food, fantastic wine list, great atmosphere, and if you're in the south of the county and you want something special - this is the restaurant we recommend.
